Gina's Sweet Mint Tea Recipe

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cold water
  • 6 tea bags
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves, chopped
  • Ice cubes

Directions

  1. Bring the cold water and tea bags to a boil in a pot. Once boiling, remove the pot from the heat and take out the tea bags when the tea reaches your desired strength.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine 1/2 cup water, the sugar, and the chopped mint. Heat over medium until it begins to boil, then remove from the stove and let the syrup cool.
  3. Pour the cooled mint syrup into the brewed tea, stir well, and serve over a glass filled with ice cubes.
