- 1 stick butter ( cup), softened to room temperature
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed to a paste using a pinch of salt and extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil, finely chopped
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 loaf of crusty baguette
