- 1/2 teaspoon dry English mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons shredded Parmesan
- 1/3 cup Onion Jam (see recipe below)
- 3 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
- Chopped chives, for garnish
- Serving suggestions: crackers, toasted bread and vegetables
Onion Jam Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 yellow onions, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and get ready to create a crowd-pleasing dip that'll vanish in minutes!
- In a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, whip the cream cheese until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Beat in the mayonnaise, mustard, cayenne, salt, and Worcestershire until smooth, another 5 minutes. Mix in 1/2 cup Parmesan and the Onion Jam on low speed just until blended. Bake immediately or chill until party time.
- Spoon the dip into a baking dish, top with the remaining 2 tablespoons Parmesan and crumbled bacon. Bake until the cheese melts and bubbles, 8 to 10 minutes. Garnish with chives and serve with crackers, warm bread, and veggies for an irresistible snack that'll have everyone asking for seconds!
Onion Jam Instructions
Yield: 1 cup
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-low. Add sliced onions, sprinkle with salt, and cook, stirring often, until tender, about 5 minutes. Reduce heat to low, stir in vinegar, sugar, and 2 tablespoons water. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until liquid evaporates and onions turn deep golden brown, about 20 minutes. Spread on a baking sheet to cool. Refrigerate leftovers.
