Ingredients
- 2 1/2 lbs white American cheese, chopped into small pieces
- 1/2 white onion, minced
- 1 cup jalapeno peppers, chopped
- 1 cup diced canned green chiles
- 2 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup tomatoes, diced
- Chips, for dipping
Directions
- Using a double boiler, place all ingredients except the tomatoes and chips into the top of the double boiler. Gently heat over low, stirring regularly until the cheese has fully melted and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- If you don't have a double boiler, set a heatproof bowl over a pan of gently simmering water and heat the ingredients the same way.
- Once melted and combined, stir in the diced tomatoes.
- Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and serve warm with chips.
