Blue Cheese Spread

  • 1 1/4 cups crumbled blue cheese
  • 3/4 cup sour cream

Sauteed Mushrooms

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 8 ounces sliced mushrooms
  • 2 ounces white wine

Instructions

  1. Shape the ground sirloin into 4 (8-ounce) patties. Grill each burger over an open flame to your preferred doneness. While the patties are cooking, prepare the bacon until it reaches your desired crispness, then set aside.
  2. Spread butter on both sides of each bun and grill until golden and toasted. On each of the 4 bottom buns, layer the burger, blue cheese spread, mushrooms, and bacon, in that sequence. On each of the top 4 buns, arrange the lettuce, tomato, and red onion, in that order. Add any extra condiments you like, close the sandwich, and serve immediately.

Blue Cheese Spread Instructions

  1. Mix both ingredients in a bowl and chill for 2 hours before using.

Sauteed Mushrooms Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large saute pan over medium heat. Stir in garlic and mushrooms, cooking until softened. Pour in wine and simmer for 1 minute or until most of the liquid has evaporated. Remove from heat and set aside until ready to assemble.
