Sherry Lemon Drop Recipe

Lemon Sherry Cordial

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • Zest of 2 lemons, finely grated
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup sherry (medium to dry)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a microwave-safe glass measuring cup, mix the sugar with 1/3 cup of water. Heat in the microwave until it starts to steam, about 45 seconds to one minute. Stir well to dissolve the sugar completely.
  2. Add the lemon zest and lemon juice to the sugar syrup. Let it cool fully before straining it through a fine mesh sieve. (This vibrant lemon syrup can be prepared ahead and refrigerated for up to one weekperfect for spontaneous gatherings!)
