Elevate your cocktail game with this stunning Gin and Elderflower Martini. Fresh lemon syrup mingles with the delicate floral notes of elderflower liqueur to create a sophisticated, refreshing drink that's as beautiful as it is delicious. Topped with an aromatic lemon zest garnish, this martini is perfect for impressing guests at your next gathering.
Ingredients
- 1 lemon
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 cups gin
- 3/4 cup elderflower liqueur (e.g., St. Germain)
- 1 1/2 cups ice
Special Equipment
- 8 martini glasses
Instructions
- Use a vegetable peeler to shave off 8 narrow strips of lemon zest and set aside. Thinly cut the lemon into slices and place them in a small saucepan with the sugar and 1/3 cup water. Heat the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves. Allow to cool at room temperature, then strain the syrup.
- Rub a zest strip around the rim of each of the 8 martini glasses, then drop each strip into the bottom of the glass as a garnish. In a measuring cup or pitcher, combine the gin, elderflower liqueur, lemon syrup, and ice. Stir well until thoroughly chilled. Strain into the prepared glasses and serve.
