- 4 cups all-purpose flour, scooped
- 1/4 teaspoon fine salt
- 2 cups (4 sticks) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 4 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup pecans, finely chopped
- 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar

- Position the oven rack in the center and preheat to 325F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour and salt; set aside.
