Ingredients

  • 8 ounces rigatoni
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1 pound turkey sausage
  • Crushed red pepper flakes, as preferred
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups broccoli florets

Instructions

  1. Prepare the rigatoni following the directions on the package. Remove the turkey sausage from its casing.
  2. In a preheated skillet, saut the onions. Add the sliced red bell pepper and crumble in the sausage meat. Stir and cook over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes to the pan. Pour in the chicken broth and allow it to simmer.
  4. Add the broccoli florets and cover to let them steam until tender.
  5. Once the broccoli is tender, add the cooked rigatoni to the skillet. Mix everything together well to coat evenly.
