Ingredients

  • 1 pound Italian sausage links, kept in casings
  • 1 crusty baguette, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 10 to 12 fresh rosemary sprigs (approximately 10 inches in length)
  • Olive oil, to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat an outdoor grill to medium temperature.
  2. Fill a pot with water and bring it to a gentle simmer. Poach the sausage links delicately for 8 minutes. Remove the sausages from the water and let them rest until cooled.
  3. Thread the bread pieces and sausage links alternately onto the rosemary sprigs.
  4. Place skewers on the grill until the bread becomes crispy and the sausage develops a golden-brown exterior, approximately 7 to 10 minutes, applying olive oil as required. Serve immediately while hot or at room temperature.
