Ingredients:
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1/3 cup homemade or store-bought mayonnaise
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1 (12-inch) French baguette, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 1 cup grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 400F.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the grated Parmesan, chopped parsley, minced garlic, and mayonnaise; mix until well blended and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the cheese mixture onto each baguette slice and spread evenly. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 68 minutes, or until the toast points are golden and crispy.
- If serving with soup, pour soup into shallow bowls and arrange the toast points around the edge; garnish with a sprinkle of parsley.
