Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/3 cup homemade or store-bought mayonnaise
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 (12-inch) French baguette, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 cup grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley

Directions:

  • Preheat the oven to 400F.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the grated Parmesan, chopped parsley, minced garlic, and mayonnaise; mix until well blended and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the cheese mixture onto each baguette slice and spread evenly. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 68 minutes, or until the toast points are golden and crispy.
  • If serving with soup, pour soup into shallow bowls and arrange the toast points around the edge; garnish with a sprinkle of parsley.
