Ingredients
- 1 cup white miso paste
- 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons freshly grated ginger
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon chili paste
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 garlic clove, grated
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Directions
- Combine the miso paste, rice wine vinegar, grated ginger, sesame oil, chili paste, soy sauce, grated garlic, and 1/4 cup honey in a medium bowl.
- Whisk until the mixture is silky and smooth; taste and add more honey if you prefer a sweeter glaze.
- Mix in the chopped cilantro and season with freshly ground black pepper.
- Use a spoon or brush to apply the glaze to vegetables, meats, or fish just before finishing or broiling.
Note: Adjust the honey amount between 1/4 and 1/2 cup to reach your desired sweetness and consistency.
