- 8 egg yolks
- 4 whole eggs
- 6 ounces granulated or brown sugar
- 1 quart heavy cream
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger including juice
- Mint leaves for garnish
- Whip up this irresistible Ginger Creme Brulee by combining the egg yolks, whole eggs, and 6 ounces of sugar until smooth and creamy. Warm the cream until just scalding, stir in the fresh ginger for that zesty kick, then slowly pour the hot cream into the egg mixture while whisking constantly.
