Ingredients

  • 1 orange
  • 3 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups water

Instructions

  1. Zest the orange, then carefully segment it, removing all the pith (the white membrane) completely. Place the orange zest and segments into a food processor and pulse briefly for 3-4 seconds, leaving it slightly chunky.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the cranberries, sugar, and water. Cover and cook over medium-low heat, stirring every few minutes, for about 15 minutes until the cranberries burst and the mixture thickens.
  3. Transfer the hot jam into sterilized canning jars and seal them following the proper canning instructions. Make sure to sterilize your canning jars according to the manufacturer's guidelines before filling.
  4. Optionally, label the jars and decorate with ribbons to make lovely gifts.
