Ingredients
- 12-ounce bag of cranberries
- 1 Granny Smith apple, peeled and diced
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup Cointreau or Grand Marnier
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- Grated zest of 1 lemon
- Grated zest of 1 orange
Directions
- In a medium saucepan set over medium heat, combine the cranberries, diced apple, sugar, Cointreau or Grand Marnier, water, cinnamon, and cloves.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes until the cranberries begin to burst.
- Remove from the heat and stir in the lemon and orange zest.
- Allow to chill completely before serving.
