Cointreau Cranberry Relish Recipe

Ingredients

  • 12-ounce bag of cranberries
  • 1 Granny Smith apple, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup Cointreau or Grand Marnier
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • Grated zest of 1 lemon
  • Grated zest of 1 orange

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan set over medium heat, combine the cranberries, diced apple, sugar, Cointreau or Grand Marnier, water, cinnamon, and cloves.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes until the cranberries begin to burst.
  3. Remove from the heat and stir in the lemon and orange zest.
  4. Allow to chill completely before serving.
