Ingredients
- 2 cups cranberry juice
- 1 (6-ounce) bag sweetened dried cranberries
- 1 cinnamon stick, broken in half
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 Gala apples, peeled, cored and diced
- 2 teaspoons corn starch

Instructions
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the cranberry juice, dried cranberries, cinnamon stick, and sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it simmer for 5 minutes. Add the diced apples and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries are soft and the apples are tender, about 5 minutes.
- Remove 8 ounces of the liquid from the saucepan and transfer it to a small bowl. Whisk in the cornstarch until smooth. Slowly pour the cornstarch mixture back into the saucepan, stirring constantly. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and transfer to a serving bowl. Refrigerate until the sauce has thickened, about 30 minutes. Remove the cinnamon sticks before serving.
