Easy Coffee Granita

Transform simple pantry staples into a refreshing coffee granita that's irresistibly crunchy and elegantperfect for cooling off on warm evenings or delighting guests with minimal effort!
Ingredients
- 3 cups strong, hot brewed coffee, regular or decaffeinated (see note)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons coffee liqueur, such as Tia Maria
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the hot coffee, sugar, coffee liqueur, and vanilla until the sugar fully dissolves. Pour into a 9-by-13-inch baking dish for even freezing.
- Freeze for 1 hour until edges begin to slush. Gently scrape icy bits with a fork, breaking up crystals, then return to the freezer.
- Every 30 minutes, repeat the scraping to maintain that signature grainy texture, until fully frozen (about 3-4 hours total).
- Wrap tightly and store in the freezer until serving time.
- Scoop into chilled bowls or martini glasses, crown with a dollop of whipped cream, and serve immediately for pure bliss!
