Ingredients
- 2 sticks (1 cup) salted butter, cut into pieces, plus extra for greasing the pan
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups oats
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 jar (10 to 12 ounces) strawberry preserves
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F (175C). Grease a 9-by-13-inch baking dish with butter.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the butter, flour, oats, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt; mix until evenly incorporated.
- Press half of the oat mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Spread the strawberry preserves evenly over the pressed oat layer.
- Sprinkle the remaining oat mixture over the preserves and gently press down.
- Bake 3040 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Cool completely before cutting into squares.
