Amaretto Peach Ice Cream Recipe
by Heather Riggs
Watch a demonstration on how to make this dessert. I first came up with this recipe on a day when I realized I had run out of vanilla extract, so I decided to use a generous amount of Amaretto liqueur instead. Hope you love it!
Ingredients
- 2 cups milk
- 1 3/4 cups sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups half and half
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 4 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup Amaretto liqueur
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 4 cups ripe peaches (puree half, finely dice the other half)

Instructions
- Warm milk in a saucepan until small bubbles appear around the sides. Take off the heat. Mix in sugar and salt, stirring until fully dissolved.
- Blend in half and half, vanilla, heavy cream, and 1/2 cup of the Amaretto. Cover and chill for 30 minutes.
- Add cinnamon to both the blended and diced peaches, then fold the fruit combo into the cooled ice cream base. Refrigerate for another 15 minutes.
- Transfer the mixture to your ice cream maker, and freeze following the machine's instructions.
- Once ready to serve, pour the rest of the Amaretto liqueur over each bowl of ice cream.
