Amaretto Peach Ice Cream Recipe

Amaretto Peach Ice Cream Recipe

Watch a demonstration on how to make this dessert. I first came up with this recipe on a day when I realized I had run out of vanilla extract, so I decided to use a generous amount of Amaretto liqueur instead. Hope you love it!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups half and half
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 4 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup Amaretto liqueur
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4 cups ripe peaches (puree half, finely dice the other half)

Cook Mode: (Keep device from sleeping) NEW: Activate Cook Mode to prevent your screen from dimming.

Instructions

  1. Warm milk in a saucepan until small bubbles appear around the sides. Take off the heat. Mix in sugar and salt, stirring until fully dissolved.
  2. Blend in half and half, vanilla, heavy cream, and 1/2 cup of the Amaretto. Cover and chill for 30 minutes.
  3. Add cinnamon to both the blended and diced peaches, then fold the fruit combo into the cooled ice cream base. Refrigerate for another 15 minutes.
  4. Transfer the mixture to your ice cream maker, and freeze following the machine's instructions.
  5. Once ready to serve, pour the rest of the Amaretto liqueur over each bowl of ice cream.
