Ingredients
- 2 cups self-rising flour (see Cook's Note)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- One 10-ounce bag bittersweet or dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400F and line 2 rimmed baking sheets with parchment paper get ready for cookie magic!
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and cocoa powder. Stir in the mayonnaise and 1/4 cup water until smooth and no dry flour remains (give it a good minute!). Fold in the chocolate chips for that gooey, decadent burst in every bite.
- Scoop the dough using a 1/4-cup (2-ounce) measure onto the sheets. Bake until cookies spread beautifully and edges are just firm, 12 to 14 minutes. Cool completely on the sheets for perfect texture.
Cook's Note
Self-rising flour makes these foolproof, but whip up your own: Mix 1 cup all-purpose flour with 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon fine salt. Stir or shake until blended!
