Ingredients
- 1/2 gallon fresh apple cider
- 20 whole cloves
- 1 navel orange
- One 1-inch fresh ginger piece, sliced
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1/2 cup brandy, bourbon, or rum

Instructions
- Warm the cider gently in a large saucepan or Dutch oven over low heat. Firmly press the cloves into the orange, spacing them out slightly. Place the orange into the cider along with the sliced ginger and cinnamon stick. Bring just to a boil, then take off the heat and stir in the brandy.
