Ingredients
- 5 cups shallots, sliced thinly
- Peanut oil for frying
- Salt to taste
Instructions
Cook Mode (Keep screen awake): Now you can activate Cook Mode to prevent your screen from going to sleep while cooking.
- Heat peanut oil in a large pot or deep fryer until a piece of shallot sizzles when dropped in. Add the sliced shallots, stirring continuously, and fry until they become crispy and golden brown. Remove them using a slotted spoon or spider and drain them on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt as desired and toss. Allow to cool to room temperature. Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
