Ingredients ()
- 1 demerara or white sugar cube
- A few dashes of Angostura bitters
- 1/2 teaspoon syrup from Luxardo cherries plus 2 skewered Luxardo cherries
- 1/4 teaspoon espresso powder
- 1/2 large egg white
- 2 ounces Irish whiskey, bourbon, or rye whiskey
- 1 twist of orange peel

Instructions
- In a pre-chilled cocktail shaker, place the sugar cube, bitters, Luxardo syrup, espresso powder, and 1/2 teaspoon water, then muddle together.
- Add 3 to 4 ice cubes and the egg white, then shake until chilled. Pour in the whiskey and shake once more.
- Strain the mixture over a single large ice cube into a chilled rocks glass. Garnish by placing the skewered cherries on top. Squeeze the orange peel over the drink to release oils, then drop the peel into the glass. Serve immediately.
