Indulge in this decadent Chocolate-Chestnut Moussea silky, luxurious dessert that's surprisingly easy to whip up at home. Perfect for holiday gatherings or any night you crave something rich and irresistible!
Ingredients:
8 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
3/4 cup chestnut puree (found in the baking aisle)
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
Pinch of salt
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
2 cups heavy cream

- Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second bursts, stirring until smooth, about 2 minutes. In a food processor, blend chestnut puree with almond extract, salt, and 1 cup confectioners' sugar until silky. Transfer to a bowl and fold in half the melted chocolate.
- Whip the cream with remaining 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar to soft peaks. Reserve 1/2 cup for garnish. Fold one-quarter of the remaining whipped cream into the chestnut mixture, then gently fold in the rest. Chill up to 8 hours.
- Spoon mousse into dessert glasses, top with reserved whipped cream. Re-melt remaining chocolate if needed and drizzle over top for a showstopping finish. Your guests will be wowed!
