BLTs with Blue Cheese-Buffalo Aioli

Ingredients for the Aioli:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
- 2 tablespoons hot sauce (for example, Frank's or Pete's)
- 1 small garlic clove, finely grated
- Freshly ground black pepper
Ingredients for the Sandwiches:
- 8 slices of country-style bread (white, wheat, or rye), each about 1/2-inch thick, lightly toasted
- 16 strips of thick-cut, high-quality bacon, cooked and halved
- 3 large tomatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- 4 leaves of Bibb lettuce
Instructions:
- Whip up the aioli: In a small bowl, blend mayonnaise, blue cheese, hot sauce, grated garlic, and black pepper until creamy and irresistible.
