Overnight oats are an easy make-ahead breakfast. This version channels Black Forest cake by combining cherries and cocoa for a rich, sweet flavor, while yogurt adds protein and a silky texture.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened plain almond milk
  • 6 tablespoons almond butter
  • 3 tablespoons cherry preserves
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 4 teaspoons maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup frozen dark sweet cherries, thawed and chopped
  • Two 5-ounce containers plain Greek or coconut yogurt
  • Grated dark chocolate for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Make the base: In a large lidded container, whisk together the almond milk, almond butter, cherry preserves, cocoa powder, maple syrup, almond extract, and salt.
  • Add oats: Stir in the rolled oats until fully combined. Cover and refrigerate overnight (or at least 68 hours) until thickened.
  • Assemble: The next day, stir the oat mixture and divide it evenly among four 810 ounce jars or glasses.
  • Layer cherries & finish: Fold or layer the chopped cherries into each jar, top with a spoonful of yogurt, and sprinkle with grated dark chocolate if desired.

Raspberry Protein Muffins Recipe

These protein-packed raspberry muffins are a healthy addition to your breakfast or afternoon snack, thanks to the creamy almond butter, rich Greek yogurt, nutty almond flour and touch of vanilla-flavored protein powder, providing 10 grams of protein per serving. The tart raspberries and touch of cardamom add brightness and punch to these delicious treats. While these muffins add a boost of protein, they shouldn’t be considered a full meal replacement. We recommend pairing with a hard-boiled egg or cup of Greek yogurt for even more protein.
