Baked Ham with Brown Sugar Mustard Glaze

Ingredients
- 1 (12-pound) shankless skinless smoked cured ham
- Whole cloves for studding ham
- 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup prepared mustard
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Score the top of the ham in a diamond pattern and insert a clove into the center of each diamond. Place the ham on a rack inside a roasting pan and bake for 1 1/2 hours.
- In a mixing bowl, blend the brown sugar, mustard, and vinegar, then spread the glaze evenly over the ham. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 35 minutes.
- Remove the ham from the oven, transfer to a serving platter, and allow it to rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
Variation: Glazed Ham Steak with Brown Sugar Mustard Glaze
- 1 to 2-inch ham steak
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
