Ingredients

  • 3 cups leftover macaroni and cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup canola oil

Instructions

  3. Heat the canola oil in a deep skillet over medium heat until it reaches 350F.
  4. Dip each macaroni and cheese ball into the egg mixture, then roll it thoroughly in the seasoned flour to coat evenly.
  5. Fry the coated balls in batches in the hot oil until they turn golden brown, about 4 minutes. Remove them from the oil and place on a plate lined with paper towels to drain.
  6. Transfer to a serving plate and enjoy them while still hot.
