Ingredients
- 2 cups 1-inch cubes of day-old multigrain bread
- 1/4 cup plus 3 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1 cup toasted pecans, coarsely chopped
- 1 head butter lettuce, torn into bite-sized pieces
- 1 large pear, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons honey
- Juice from half a lemon
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350F and get ready for crispy croutons that elevate every bite.
- In a mixing bowl, toss the bread cubes with 3 tablespoons of olive oil, a pinch of salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Spread on a half-sheet pan and bake for 20 minutes until golden and irresistibly toasted.
- In a large bowl, gently combine the pecans, lettuce, pear slices, and toasted bread cubes. For the dressing, shake together the remaining 1/4 cup olive oil, honey, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt and pepper in a Mason jar until emulsified and vibrant.
