- 3/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup light molasses
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup malt vinegar
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 2 cups ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 6 drops Tabasco sauce
- 3 teaspoons fenugreek
- 6 teaspoons sweet paprika
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- Pour all liquid ingredients (excluding water) into a saucepan and simmer for 15 minutes until well combined. Sift in fenugreek and paprika, stirring continuously as the spices blend into the sauce.
- Bring the sauce to a slow rolling boil. Mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry, then incorporate it into the sauce. Continue simmering until your desired thickness is achieved.
- Brush generously onto pork, beef, lamb, chicken, or any protein. For added depth, use this sauce as a marinade by combining it with citrus juice.
