  • 3/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup light molasses
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup malt vinegar
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 6 drops Tabasco sauce
  • 3 teaspoons fenugreek
  • 6 teaspoons sweet paprika
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Pour all liquid ingredients (excluding water) into a saucepan and simmer for 15 minutes until well combined. Sift in fenugreek and paprika, stirring continuously as the spices blend into the sauce.
  2. Bring the sauce to a slow rolling boil. Mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry, then incorporate it into the sauce. Continue simmering until your desired thickness is achieved.
  3. Brush generously onto pork, beef, lamb, chicken, or any protein. For added depth, use this sauce as a marinade by combining it with citrus juice.
