Ingredients
- 6 cups water
- 1 1/2 cups dried hibiscus petals (also called sorrel)
- 3-inch segment fresh ginger, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup sugar
Directions
1. In a large pot, combine the water, hibiscus petals, and ginger. Bring to a simmer and cook for 20 minutes.
2. Add the sugar and stir until completely dissolved, then strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve.
3. Let the juice cool, refrigerate, and serve chilled.
