Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 cup shredded Gruyere
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 can crabmeat, drained
- 4 slices sourdough bread
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, lemon juice, cayenne pepper, grated cheese, and salt and pepper to taste.
- Stir in the crabmeat until well combined.
- Spread the crab mixture onto the bread slices and top each with another slice of bread to form sandwiches.
- Melt butter in a medium skillet over medium heat.
- Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 2 minutes, then flip and continue cooking for another 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown.
- Repeat with the second sandwich.
- Slice and serve immediately.
