Ingredients
- 2 large ripe yellow papayas
- 8 ounces fresh blueberries
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 cloves
- 1-inch cinnamon stick
- 1 1/2 tablespoons arrowroot powder
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
Instructions
- Halve the papayas and scoop out the seeds, reserving some for garnish or to stir into the finished sauce. Arrange the papaya halves whole or slice them in a fan pattern on your dessert plates.
- Combine the blueberries, sugar, water, cloves, and cinnamon stick in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Mix the arrowroot powder with lime juice until smooth, then stir into the boiling berries. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring gently. Taste and adjust sweetness as desired. Fold in the reserved papaya seeds if using.
- Spoon the warm or cooled blueberry sauce over the papaya and serve immediately for a refreshing, vibrant dessert.
