Caramel Apple Dip Recipe

Caramel Apple Dip Recipe

Level: Easy

Yield: 8 servings

Total: 1 hr 10 min

Active: 10 min

Ingredients

  • Two 11-ounce packages caramels, unwrapped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4 green apples
  • Optional toppings: Crushed chocolate sandwich cookies, such as Oreos; chocolate sauce; chopped salted peanuts; sea salt; crushed cereal, such as Fruity Pebbles; mini white chocolate chips; broken-up candy bars; mini candy-coated chocolates, such as M&M's; brown sugar; ground cinnamon

Special equipment: 32 ice-pop sticks

Instructions

  1. Place the caramels, cream, butter, and vanilla into a small slow cooker. Set to low and stir every 20 minutes until fully melted, about 1 hour.
  2. Remove the core from the apples and cut each into eight slices. Insert an ice-pop stick into each slice.
  3. Dip the apple slices into the warm caramel sauce, allowing excess to drip off, then roll in your chosen toppings.

Fun Topping Twists

  • Cookies and cream: Crushed cookies and chocolate sauce (Marcela's style).
  • Salted caramel: Chopped salted peanuts and sea salt (Katie's version).
  • Breakfast treat: Crushed cereal and mini white chocolate chips (Jeff's idea).
  • Halloween snack: Broken-up chocolate peanut butter bars and mini candy-coated chocolates (Sunny's pick).
  • Pie-inspired: Brown sugar and cinnamon (GZ's flavor boost).

Cook Mode: Switch to keep your screen awake.

Stovetop option: Prepare in a saucepan over low heat.

Transform simple ingredients into irresistible caramel-dipped apple slices that wow at any gatheringeasy, customizable, and bursting with fall flavor!
