- Boil 1 pound broccoli florets with 1 sliced red bell pepper in salted water until just tender, about 3 minutes. Drain and shock in ice water to keep them crisp and bright green, then drain again.
- Warm 2 tablespoons olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add cup chopped walnuts, 2 sliced garlic cloves, and 2 to 4 crushed dried red chilies; cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in the broccoli and peppers; cook 2 more minutes. Season with salt to taste and serve hot for maximum wow factor.
