Whip up this refreshing Bourbon Smash in just minutesa bright, zesty burst of bourbon, fresh mint, and lemon that'll transport you to sunny afternoons. Perfect for impressing guests or treating yourself after a long day!

Ingredients

  • 3/4 ounce simple syrup
  • 8 fresh mint leaves, plus 1 sprig for garnish
  • 3 lemon wedges
  • 2 ounces bourbon

Instructions

  1. Place the simple syrup, mint leaves, and lemon wedges into a cocktail shaker and muddle until the lemons are thoroughly crushed. Add the bourbon and fill the shaker with ice; stir vigorously with a long cocktail spoon until the mixture is well chilled.
  2. Fill a rocks glass with ice and use a fine strainer to pour the drink into the glass. Take the mint sprig and gently clap it between your palms (this helps release its aromatic oils). Use the sprig to garnish the cocktail and serve immediately.
