About This Recipe
Inspired by the beloved Southern snacks of my childhood, these crispy bacon-wrapped crackers paired with a creamy herb dip are pure nostalgia on a plate. The magic happens when smoky, tender bacon meets golden, crunchy crackersa combination that transforms a simple appetizer into an irresistible crowd-pleaser. Whether you're hosting a dinner party or bringing a dish to share, these bite-sized treasures disappear faster than you can plate them. The cool, fresh herb dip provides the perfect balance to the rich, savory crackers, creating a flavor duo that keeps guests coming back for more.
Ingredients
- 1 package (8 ounces) bacon (use regular slices, avoid thick cuts)
- 24 to 27 club-style crackers
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 3 tablespoons freshly chopped herbs (choose soft herbs like parsley, basil, mint, and cilantro)
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
Instructions
- Set your oven to 250F and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Cut each bacon slice into thirds widthwise. Wrap each cracker with a bacon piece and place them seam side down on the tray. Bake until the bacon becomes crisp, about 2 hours. Allow them to cool completely.
- While the bacon crackers bake, prepare the dip. In a medium mixing bowl, stir together sour cream, mayonnaise, chopped herbs, onion powder, and garlic salt. Chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
- Serve the bacon-wrapped crackers alongside the herb dip.
