Transform simple asparagus and bacon into an irresistible treat with this easy, crowd-pleasing recipe! Perfect for gatherings, these smoky, sweet bundles will have everyone reaching for seconds.

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds fresh asparagus, trimmed at the ends
  • 12 strips of bacon
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400F. Divide the asparagus into 12 small bundles and wrap each with a slice of bacon, starting about half an inch from the tips. Secure with a toothpick and place in a shallow casserole dish.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, soy sauce, garlic salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then pour the glossy glaze evenly over the bundles.
  3. Roast for about 25 minutes, until asparagus is tender and bacon is crispy. Remove toothpicks and serve hot for maximum flavor!
