Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
- 3 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce (recommended: Tabasco)
- 4 hamburger buns, split
- Barbecue sauce, for serving

Directions
- Warm oil in a large skillet with straight sides. Add the bell peppers and garlic. Cook until softened, about 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Stir in the ground beef with the vegetables. Cook, breaking it up, for about 8 minutes until browned and no longer pink.
- Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire, and hot sauce. Stir well and simmer until thickened to your liking, about 10 minutes. Pile onto split hamburger buns and top with extra barbecue sauce for that irresistible, saucy bite that'll have everyone craving seconds!
