Ingredients
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 (7-ounce) jar diced pimiento, drained and rinsed
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 (8-ounce) block extra-sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded (about 2 cups)
- 1 (8-ounce) block smoked Gouda cheese, shredded (about 2 cups)
Instructions
In a large bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, pimientos, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Add the shredded cheeses and stir until well combined. Refrigerate for up to one week.
Chef's Tips
- Rinse the pimientos: Be sure to rinse the diced pimientos before using. Skipping this step can make the pimiento cheese overly salty.
- Texture matters: For the smoothest texture, use cheese blocks and shred them by hand.
