Salted Caramel-Bourbon Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 2 tablespoons bourbon
Instructions
- Combine 1 1/2 cups sugar and 1/2 cup water in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Gently swirl the pando not stiruntil the mixture turns a deep amber color, about 12 minutes.
- Remove from heat and carefully whisk in 1 cup heavy cream, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 1/2 teaspoon sea salt.
- Stir in 2 tablespoons bourbon. Let the sauce cool completely.
- Transfer to jars and refrigerate. Makes about 2 cups.
