- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 extra-large eggs, at room temperature
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
- 1 1/4 pounds semisweet chocolate chunks
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for perfect baking.
- In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, cream the butter with both sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in the vanilla, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
- Sift flour, baking soda, and salt together. On low speed, blend into the butter mixture just until combined. Fold in walnuts and chocolate chunks for that decadent burst in every bite.
- Scoop dough with a 1 3/4-inch ice cream scoop or rounded tablespoon onto parchment-lined baking sheets. Lightly dampen hands and gently flatten each mound.
- Bake for exactly 15 minutesthe centers will look slightly underbaked for ultimate chewiness. Cool briefly on the sheet, then transfer to a wire rack. Enjoy warm and watch the magic happen!
