Mannish Water

- 2 pounds of goat meat, cut into 1-inch bone-in cubes
- Juice from 2 limes
- 1 1/2 gallons of water
- 1 packet of chicken noodle soup mix
- 6 small green bananas, peeled and sliced into 1-inch pieces
- 4 chayote, diced
- 1 pound white yam, cubed
- 6 potatoes, peeled and cut into cubes
- 6 carrots, chopped into 1-inch pieces
- 3 scallions, finely chopped including green parts
- 2 or 3 garlic cloves, crushed
- 2 sprigs of fresh thyme
- 1 Scotch Bonnet chili, adjust to taste
- 6 allspice berries
- Salt, to taste

- Stir in the green bananas, chayote, yam, potatoes, carrots, scallions, garlic, thyme, Scotch Bonnet, allspice, and salt.
