Ingredients

  • 1 jicama, washed and peeled
  • 1 medium chayote fruit, peeled and washed
  • 1 orange, peeled and segmented
  • 1 cucumber, peeled
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 pinch chili flakes, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Toothpicks

Instructions

  1. Separate the orange into segments, reserving any leftover fruit pieces. Cut the jicama, chayote, and cucumber into thin, finger-like strips. Place the citrus segments in a bowl with the sliced vegetables, squeeze the lime juice and remaining fruit pieces over the mixture, then add the chili flakes and cilantro. Toss everything together gently.
  2. Season with salt according to your preference, then skewer each piece with a toothpick.
